THE BRIEF
Need help with final stages of planning, someone to tell us what we’ve forgotten.
Help with a wet weather plan, create and guide us with advice on the timeline & MC.
Overall Budget for Planning + MC = $3000 (minus GST)
THE PROBLEM
I don’t usually do MC services alongside OTDC as it compromises the quality of the services.
Their MC pulled out a month prior and it wasn’t in their budget to pay additional travel fees but wanted a professional MC to help run the night.
It DID RAIN the few days prior and morning of (lucky we had actioned the wet weather plan for the ceremony!)
THE SOLUTION
The couple was really laid back and was having a buffet style catering meaning the formalities and the overall timeline we worked out together alongside the layout of the venue meant I could include MC to keep within their budget.
I was also transparent with the couple on what this meant me being in the FOH for the entrance into reception instead of BOH fluffing the brides train – working this out and being honest meant the couple could make an informed decision that MC was more important than the 2 or 3 small things it meant they missed out on in OTDC services.
The venue staff were also kind enough to help meaning overall nothing really was missed.
The wet weather solution for the ceremony was a stretch tent meaning the ground remained dry.

THE FEEDBACK
Where do we even begin? Amie was everything we needed and more. From the moment we started planning, she was a calming presence, a creative powerhouse, and a total force of nature behind the scenes. We honestly don’t know how we would have survived the day without her.
She just got us, Amie understood our vision perfectly, kept us grounded when the nerves crept in, and took care of every little detail with care, precision, and heart. On the day itself, she was absolutely phenomenal. Somehow everywhere at once, solving problems before we even knew they existed, and making everything run like clockwork—all while staying calm, smiling, and making us feel like everything was under control (because it was!).
And when our MC plans fell through last minute, Amie didn’t even flinch. She stepped in without hesitation and took it all in her stride, hosting the evening like it had been the plan all along. She made it look effortless, and kept the energy warm, light, and perfectly us.
She didn’t just help us plan a wedding, she helped us enjoy it. Because of her, we were able to be present, soak in every moment, and actually relax knowing we were in the best hands possible.
Amie, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You were such a big part of what made our day so special. We’ll never stop singing your praises, you are an absolute gem.
