THE BRIEF
With one week to go, April called me stressed that there was too much to do on the day – setting up DIY styling, managing the day etc
Wanted to ensure she could be present and enjoy the day
Knowing guests knew where to go and the Groom & Groomsmen had everything they needed the morning of
Ceremony was setup without the bridal party having to do much
Referral from a previous bride
THE PROBLEM
One week out to create and get across a timeline
The day of the weather was shocking – torrential wind and rain
Property was muddy and multiple issues with keeping signage up and ensuring guests were comfortable
April’s dress broke
The buttonholes she ordered weren’t made properly (wrapped in electrical tape not floral tape – AND NO RIBBON!)
THE SOLUTION
Moved the cocktail hour from outside to up in the barn for comfort and warmth
Created a timeline with a week left and completed 2 vendor checks
Were able to include our table runners for her last minute as we have those styling elements
With our emergency kit we had a sewing kit to fix her dress and ribbon to redo the buttonholes
